Treasure a precious memory with a commissioned portrait

To create the best portrait possible, I rely on the quality of the reference photo you provide. Here are a few helpful tips to ensure your portrait turns out beautifully:

  • Please choose the highest quality photo you can. I can only draw the details that are visible, so blurry or low-resolution images can limit the result.

  • Photos taken closer to the camera are best. If the subject is too far away, important details may be lost.

  • Larger files are usually better. Small or heavily compressed images don’t contain enough detail to work from.

  • For older photographs, please scan the original if possible. Taking a picture of a printed photo often causes glare and blurriness, which makes drawing difficult.

Providing a clear, well-lit image ensures I can capture your loved one with accuracy, warmth, and care.

How to Order a Portrait

Before placing an order, please get in touch to discuss your portrait details.
Email me with:

​

  • The size you would like

  • Whether you would like graphite or charcoal

  • The photo you would like me to draw from

 

Once I have your details, I will book you a start date.

If you need the portrait completed by a certain date (for example, a gift), please let me know when you contact me so I can schedule accordingly.

Sending Your Photos

​You can send your photo via Email or Facebook.
Once we’ve talked, you’ll be able to upload the image and confirm the size and final details.

Timeframe

The time needed will depend on the size and number of subjects:

  • Small portraits (1 subject): a few days

  • Larger portraits (2–3 subjects): up to a couple of weeks

I will let you know an estimated completion time when you contact me — but remember, you can’t rush creativity.

Payment

You only pay after your portrait is finished and you are happy with it.


I will send you a preview of the completed portrait before payment.


Once approved and paid, your portrait will be carefully packaged and shipped.

Shipping

If you're ordering from outside the EU (e.g., USA), you may have to pay import/custom charges when your parcel arrives. If this happens, just send me the receipt and I will reimburse the fee.
